Job - Accounting Technician

32 hours/week

What you will do:

To ensure the management of financial and budgetary resources:

o Budget updates and monitoring;

o Collect, structure and analyze performance indicators in collaboration with directors;

o Maintain accounting records and prepare monthly financial statements;

o Ensure the regular transmission of accounting information (internal/external) to the people concerned, in collaboration with Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton;

o Supervise the preparation and verification of financial statements by an external accounting firm;

o Oversees the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable (suppliers and customers);

o Prepare declarations and remittances for source deductions (DAS) and taxes (GST and QST);

o Comply with applicable accounting standards related to non-profit organizations, with the support of an external accounting firm;

o ClicSÉQUR access code.

 

 

To ensure the administrative management of human resources related to the hiring, termination or cancellation of staff employment contracts:

o Add and deactivate employees in Employer D and Borrow;

o SharePoint;

o Monitor the payment of salaries and allowances, leave and work stoppages of staff in collaboration with the human resources director.

 

Track funding from public institutions, foundations, and private donations :

o Charity receipts;

o Application for reimbursement of wage subsidies (CIT, etc.)

 

Make daily deposits and manage cash flow:

o Reconciliation and monitoring of petty cash and store deposits;

o Deposit at the cashier's;

o Cash register code management;

o Cash register system management (Lightspeed).


To ensure the logistical operation of the management office.

o Ensure the logistical organization of the office (telephony, IT, network, alarm code, emails, etc.) as well as the layout of the spaces (workstations, cell phones);

o Ensure the purchase of office supplies;

o Update the Quebec business register;

o Perform backup copies of the computer system (with Solti);

o Ensure the management, classification and archiving of files;

o Manage insurance renewals.

What we are looking for:

  • Diploma in Accounting Techniques or any other relevant training

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience


SKILLS :

  • Good sense of organization and priorities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of Employer D software (an asset)

  • Knowledge of Emprez software (an asset)
