Job - Sorting Clerk

Donation Center

Full-time and part-time

Purpose of the position:

Ensure the receipt and sorting of a wide variety of items according to current methods and procedures.


Immediate supervision:

Assistant Manager - Accessories


Your main responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and receive donations

  • Sort and process goods according to established procedures

  • Evaluate the quality of the items and determine their treatment according to the procedure (disposal, recycling, sales, etc.).

    • Label the merchandise for marketing purposes in retail outlets.

    • Pack the merchandise for storage.

    • Move and store merchandise according to procedures to facilitate efficient processing.

  • Participate in inventory taking according to the frequency and procedures in force.

  • Perform any other related tasks

Qualifications and requirements:

Training

Secondary education (Secondary IV) – or equivalent experience

Experience

Less than three months in a similar position

Specific knowledge

None

Languages and other strengths

Good knowledge of French

Knowledge and understanding of social economy enterprises is an asset .

Physical requirements

Capacity to handle loads of 20 kilos

Personal characteristics

Interpersonal communication skills, tact, diplomacy, and tact.

Ability to work in a team.

Loyalty and integrity.

Ability to manage stress during busy periods.

Sense of organization and priorities.

  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) or part-time position (Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
